The Brussels Choral Society (BCS), headquarters at Rue des Aduatiques 48, 1040 Brussels, Belgium, registration number BE.0435.758.246 is the controller of the personal data collected by the BCS via its website and via other channels, including the personal data of its members.

The BCS commits to respect the privacy of its contacts and its members and describes hereunder its privacy practices.

The personal information you provide to the BCS will be used and stored as follows:

Data collection and use

The BCS collects personal information you provide to deliver different services such as information newsletters and information on concerts (called hereinafter the Service). The Data are collected based on the BCS’s legitimate interest to keep you updated of the BCS’s activities. The BCS also collects personal information about its members for internal communication purposes, and about professional contacts for the organisation of concerts, workshops, partnerships, and the development of promotion material.

The BCS strives to limit the amount of personal information collected to what is necessary for the intended purpose of the collection.

If you are a member of the BCS, be aware that the fact that you ask to be removed from our database or to limit our access to your data may make us unable to convene you to rehearsals, workshops, concerts and other meetings. It may therefore make it impossible for you to participate in the activities of the association.

If you are concerned that we have not complied with your legal rights or applicable privacy laws, you may contact the CPP (Commission for the Protection of Privacy at www.privacycommission.be) (which is the regulator responsible for data protection in Belgium).

Alternatively, if you are located outside of Belgium, you may contact your local data protection authority.

Period of storage

Data collected will be retained for as long as it is necessary and serves its intended purpose. The BCS commits to review the need to retain or delete the data periodically.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information both online and offline. Only Board members who need the information in the context of their responsibilities are granted access to personally identifiable information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is available on this page and has been published on (October 2019). We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
