Eric Delson
Born in Cleveland, Ohio (USA), Eric Delson has a Masters
Degree in composition from the New England Conservatory
and a Doctorate from Boston University. He has conducted
in Canada, the UK, Belgium, Italy and the USA, and his
choral compositions have been sung throughout the USA
and Canada.
Works premiered by the BCS include his Holiday Triptych
(1999) and Lullaby for Louise, composed in 2004 to celebrate the birth of Prince
Laurent and Princess Claire’s first child. His compositions for piano, chamber
ensemble and orchestra are performed regularly in Europe and the USA and
several works have been published internationally.
In 2001, the Brahmsgesellschaft invited him to serve as composer-in-residence
in Baden-Baden (Germany). He heads the Performing Arts Department at the
International School of Brussels.

New England Conservatory of Music où il obtient son diplôme de Master of
Music et a terminé son doctorat a l’Université de Boston. En tant que chef d’
orchestre, il s’est produit aux USA, Canada, en Grande-Bretagne, en Italie et
en Belgique. Ses oeuvres chorales ont été interprétées par différents ensembles
aux États-Unis et au Canada.
Sa musique pour piano, pour ensembles de musique de chambre et pour
orchestre est jouée régulièrement en Europe et aux États-Unis. Il a aussi reçu
de nombreuses commandes et ses compositions sont publiées dans plusieurs
pays. Fin 1999, la Brussels Choral Society créait son Holiday Triptych pour
soprano, choeur et orchestre. En 2004, elle a enregistré Lullaby for Louise
pour célébrer la naissance du premier enfant du Prince Laurent et de la
Princesse Claire.
En 2001, Eric Delson a été invité par la Brahmsgesellschaft Baden-Baden
(Allemagne) à être son compositeur en résidence. Il dirige le Performing Arts
Department de l’Ecole Internationale de Bruxelles.
